FoodtreX, Innovation in Food Tourism

November 6th will be held in London at the Grange St. Paul’s Hotel, FoodTreX London Food Travel Innovation Summit, event organized by the World Food Travel Association and entirely dedicated to innovation in food and wine tourism. International experts will meet to discuss current trends, including customer journey, 5G, urban renewal, sustainability, new technologies in the wine world and special diets, through the presentation of case studies and best practices.

Erik Wolf, founder and executive director of the association, will welcome you. Following the interventions of the experts.

During the event, fifteen delegates – pre-selected by a technical jury – will have the opportunity to express their thoughts and opinions on the topics of greatest interest among the participants. Unique opportunity to make the public co-participate in this important event.

At the end, the awards ceremony of the “FoodTrekking Awards 2018” will be held, prizes awarded by the World Food Travel Association to those important initiatives in the Food & Beverage sector.

FoodTreX London | Food Travel Innovation Summit will precede the World Travel Market 2018, the important tourism fair to be held in London from November 7th and of which the association is a strategic partner for the food & beverage sector.

Roberta Garibaldi – WINE TOURISM GETS AN UPGRADE

Tourism Management Professor at the University of Bergamo and expert in food and wine tourism, she will present the new technologies applied to the wine tourism experience

Kathryn Davis – FOOD TOURISM & 5G: IT’S RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER

Head of the tourism sector at Visit Bristol, she will illustrate the pilot project implemented in the English city concerning the use of 5G technology in tourism, highlighting the possible applications in food and wine tourism.

Benjamin Atlani – IS IT LIVE OR IS IT VR? NEW POSSIBILITIES FOR FOOD & BEVERAGE TOURISM

CEO of Semply Digital, will illustrate new technologies – including virtual reality – capable of effectively communicating the destination to food and wine tourists.

Luisa Puppo – SPECIAL DIETS & FOOD TRAVELERS

Businesswoman and consultant, CEO of Liguria by Luisa, will talk about how the special needs of travelers (eg celiac, intolerant, vegan, ..) can and should be considered by the operators in the sector in all their implications,

Tom Buncle – MEETING THE EXPECTATIONS OF FOOD-LOVING TRAVELERS

Director of Yellow Railroad, will talk about customer journey and specifically how to reconcile the need to meet the increasingly high expectations of travelers with the need to contain costs and remain competitive.

Amber Hoffman – QUALITY NOT QUANTITY WINS THE ONLINE MARKETING GAME

Writer and photographer for With Husband in Tow and Co-founder of WHIT Media, she will talk about social media and online marketing for the food sector.

Clare Jenkinson – MAKING HOLIDAYS GREENER: IT’S EASIER THAN YOU THINK

Senior manager at ABTA – Association of British Travel Agents, will present the “Make Holiday Greener” campaign promoted by the association, the results obtained and the next steps.

Fraser Doherty

Entrepreneur and influencer, he is the creator of Beer52, the biggest beer club in the world. During the lunch speak will tell the details of this new entrepreneurial initiative.
